The first EB-5 Regional Center located in New York City was co-founded by entrepreneur Sandra Dyche. This Regional Center helps to create jobs and improve areas of high unemployment by encouraging foreign investment. Sandra Dyche has assisted numerous foreign investors in their efforts to stimulate American economic growth – and understands the extensive challenges of pursuing a Green Card.
According to Sandra Dyche, the beginning stages of the Green Card process involve seeking an expert immigration attorney who can bring experience to the process. Sandra Dyche points out that immediate family members can also apply for a Green Card – but children over 21 will not be eligible under the same petition. The investor will complete an Investor Questionnaire. Sandra Dyche states that EB-5 investors prefer projects that have been backed by a Regional Center with a substantial track record. After receipt of the Investor Questionnaire, a Regional Center will order a pre-screening test for the investor.
Sandra Dyche states that the investor will then review Offering Documents that detail the qualifying project. Next, the investor must sign a Subscription Agreement, as well as any related documents required by a Regional Center. A subscription amount from the investor will be put into a bank escrow, says Sandra Dyche. Once this step is completed, the investor’s attorney files an I-526 petition for USCIS approval.
